the mayor had originally placed the curfew from 8 pm to 6 am. but my gf told me that he extended it now to 12 am because the situation is being handled pretty well.

What are the punishments if caught out after the curfew?

depends:

scenario #1) if you are caught in a vehicle, you will be warned to get home quickly. if you comply then i dont think you would be in trouble.

scenario #2) you are caught in a vehicle, warned, but you dont go home. if you're caught again by the same cop, then you will be either fined or arrested.

scenario #3) an asshole cops stops you in your vehicle, then you will be given a fine on the spot.

scenario #4) if you are walking in the street, then you will be warned walked through the same process as in scenario 1, 2, & 3.

scenario #5) if you are walkin in the streets, you are ordered to stop, but you start to run, you could be shot.

#5 sounds more like something the NOPD would do...I can't imagine a curfew, but I guess it keeps people in check..
