Default well it was a nice dream?

Comming to realise I wont get a G35
apparently the only co-signer I have with good enough credit to lease a car for me is in California (my mom) and she'd have to fly over here to sign the papers.. and well thats not going to happen.

I'm looking into getting a loan but from the calculations i'll probably only be able to get $27k.. which wont come close to buying me a new G35. I've looked into used ones but everyone in my family says thats a bad idea that I wanted a new car and I should stick to that instead of getting another car that I don't know the history on

sooo looks like a 350z (an '05) or a freakin' Mustang GT (easy to get a lease on one)

It was nice feeling like i'd be part of the forum for real.. while it lasted anyways..
sucks having little to no "good credit" and little to no bad credit.

I asked if they could fax it.. and if she could just go to the same bank in Cali.. they said no.. bastards they said it was illegal???

And the issue with buying used is your buying the car unknowing of what happend to it. I mean there is a DAMN good priced G35 on AutoTrader right now that I could afford.. but I don't know the guys driving habits.. has 15k miles on it... I don't want another problem car.. had enough of that with the supra

Take the car to a good mechanic to have it checked out and get a carfax to check the history. There are a lot of good used G's out there.

brand new cars have problems too

besides, with only 15,000 miles, you should still have warranty from factory. correct me if im wrong, but warranty on G's are up to 48,000 miles?

the one i bought came with a different warranty package, so i really dont know.

she knows enough about cars to know how to inspect a vehicle.

the carfax is not something i trust . dealers dont always report what happens to the vehicles they have. at least that's the motto that carmax enforces.

poop.. called Grubbs..

apparently it would be fine for them to lease to me or my mom.. only thing is.. if they lease it to my mom it would have to be registerd and insured in California. It would look odd for it to be garaged in NC but leased by someone in Cali..

damnit why did my mom have to move

Do you have an alternate credit union you can go to? It seems like it should be ok to send the papers via courier and have your mom's signature notarized. Just an odd situation.

No mustangs.

I still say a nice low mileage used G might still be the best option.

Whatever way you go, the best of luck to you TS.

Who cares what state plates are on it? Just get it. Sounds to me like you don't really want it that bad,or else something like that wouldn't stop you. Hop a flight to Cali get your mom to sign, put it on a car hauler and have it delivered to NC not really that difficult. If you want something bad enough and there is a way to make it happen just go for it !!!!

If I had the money to do that.. i'd buy a G35 instead of try to lease one...

buying it would put me at payments on $675 and yea not going to happen. I have to be able to move out of my dads house in a few months

Still at home with Daddy? Thats terrible lol you can do it I know you can. Hauling a car to NC shouldn't be more than a few hundred bucks. Either way I was just talking to my lawyer who is here chillin with me and he is not sure about the states but here in Canada it is perfectly legal if the paperwork is shipped by courier and identification is shown when she receives it. Also he said she can go down to city hall and have a witness sign with here and have it notarized.

I think the issue is having a Cali resident lease a car that is residing in NC.. It would have to have all Cali stuff which would be illegal if it stayed here in NC.. I know when I lived in VA with my NC registerd car they said I had 60 days to register my car in VA unless it went back to NC once a month..

I e-mailed my mom about it before i posted this.. if she wants to take the risk I sure as hell do

And yea I was out on my own once I was 17.. but then I got low on cash and I wanted to do the Law enforcement thing soo my dad told me to move in w/him and go to school :shruggs: its odd
