Default Post-whoring=thread jacking

I've started noticing that the post whores (you know who you are) have been completely sidetracking just about every thread just for the sake of getting another post. By the second page it has nothing to do with the original topic of the thread. Now every thread is 5 pages of nothing.

I know I sound like a whining bitch, but I'm Just asking for a little consideration. I can't tell anymore which threads are worth following and which ones are the PWA chit chatting among themselves. Don't forget the PM function.

Yeah..

I noticed today was particularly bad with this. I left work tonight and checked 6mt before I left. By the time I'd gotten home and wolfed down a quick dinner, practicly the whole first page of the off-topic section had filled up with new and mostly useless whoring posts on most of the top 20 or so topics.

not to say it makes it ok but it's been a problem going back beyond them and beyond my post whoring days as well ... it does get a bit tedious, which is the main reason I myself don't read most of the posts unless they're new ... i dunno, i'd complain a bit more but then I used to do it just as much as the new whores here

I was just trying to jack the thread I'm sorry... ha ha I do understand what you are sayin though it does get a little off topic most of the time lately and even worse is the fact that sometimes I am interested in the original topic then poof its gone and somebody is just typin smack just to get a freakin response. It's not a competition to have the most posts. Alot of times its still pretty funny to see the argument take place then realize niether side knew what the fuck they were talking about.

Agreed. Time to start spending more time on other sites.

I agree, and that is why I only have a 1400 posts. If I have nothing useful to say, I don't post.

..and I'm spending more time on other boards as a result of the constant divergence.

Even though you were a postwhore, you didn't do it in a majority of the threads...

Volume whoring is much more noticeable

I completely agree. There's a big difference between a few comments here and there and converting every thread into utter nonesense.

Sure, it's not all about me, but I've stopped reading a lot because of it.

i'll make you guys a deal, let us make a thread. specifically for our "whoring", and we wont bother you guys anymore.

but in return, if you go into that thread, you are subject to dealing with everything that is in it.

do we have an accord?

Sounds fair to me, but I don't think the PWA will be able to control their terroristic postwhoring members.

Maybe I'm delirous, but I thought the suggestion of keeping it in a single thread was made several weeks ago, and obviously, it hasn't worked.
