Alright besides going to the dentist and spending $500 on whitening your teeth anyone use any over the counter stuff like white strips and such, that really worked? I use Colgate whitening toothpaste but it's not working too well. Damn, all this coffee and dip is gettin my teeth so yellow the sun gets jealous when I smile.
I think I remember someone posting a link on here a few months ago about an industrial strength tooth whitening product that you could order online that worked really good.
I'm pretty sure it was those crest white strips.. but in professional strength.
Try searching for it and you should be able to find it.

the best otc product for whitening are the crest strips...if one treatment doesnt work, buy another box...usually that should do it. forget the whitening toothpaste...they are bs.

I FOOKIN knew it. Anyways, just bought myself some Crest professional strips with 14% hydro...something. The strongest stuff out there. They don't even sell it in stores.
My dad tried the white strips... I'm not sure if they really worked for him or not, but he did mention that it made his teeth a bit sensitive for the duration of his useage of the product... but that the sensitivity went away once he was done with them.
SuperDDS.... does the white-strip whitening actually last, or is it just a temporary thing that lasts for like a month?
How do profesional dentists go about whitening teeth?

those whitening toothpaste just make my teeth sensitive. my dentist says it brushes away the outer protective enamel and it's not good for ur teeth's health.
i've tried the extra strength crest white strips they sell in the stores. the regular strength ones were ok, but the extra strength ones make my teeth sensitive for a bit after i use them. i don't have the discipline to use them for a week straight, but they seem to work. it lasts for a few months after one full treatment.

the senstivity is only temporary and is a result of the peroxide dehydrating the tooth...it takes about 24 hours for the sensitivity to go away once the tooth rehydrates. it's very common with any bleaching products that contain peroxide. the results should last a year or so depending on your habits ie coffee, red wine, chocolate, dark colored foods, etc...you can always do touch ups. most of us use the bleaching gel with custom trays...i don't like the one appt bleaching with laser.

Hmmm. Is there any truth to the concern that whitening toothpaste removes tooth enamel?
The whitening toothpaste I use does appear to work, so I'm curious.

no...enamel is the hardest substance in the human body...the mild abrasives found in whitening toothpastes will only remove superficial stains.
