Default Rock on!

Have a job now.. although I don't start untill Oct 30th (they do a piss test AND background check.. but i've never touched a drug and hell I was sorta almost a police officer so i'm pretty sure my background is fine.. hah)
I only make $7 an hour but heck I live with my dad.. and this is just something to pay for the car untill I can figure out how i'm going to become an officer now..

But yea.. I'm now stocking tools haha at sears.. He said since I have so much background in automotive I could easily switch to sales if I want.. but i'm not wanting to deal with customers just yet.. maybe if my stress levels drop a bit because lets face it.. customers suck..

Also I got an email back from someone for Blue Buffalo dog/cat food.. they sell their expencive but damn good food at petsmart. I'd be trying to convince people to buy the food which I think i'd be great at since I know its a freakin' great product.. thats $10 hr
both part time jobs so it could work if I get hired for the Blue place :shruggs: both jobs are right next to each other too so that works!

Soooo i'm going to carmax tomorrow and see what they will give me for the Type R.. probably anal rape me... but at least i'll have a rock bottom price :shruggs:
annddd gatta let the infiniti dealership start working some papers and see if they can work magic for me.. if not i'll be getting a 350z

Congrats on the job(s). Good luck with the dealership, the G is so much nicer than the Z for the same $$.

Well yeah, I meant more option for option.

I do think I'd have to go with an S2000 over the 350z though. I don't know what model Z I test drove, just that it was a 2006 (didn't care about the model, just wanted to kill some time) and it just seemed cheap.

yea i've never driven one so I definatly will

S2K is nice but the thing is.. just ONE mis-shift and you can bend your valves and be SOL because the dealership wont cover it (my idiot friend did this and many others i've read about)
I dont even want the chance of doing that.. I do dumb things.. and I have mis shifted before.. use to one car and getting into another sucks.. hah

Lol my friend had that happen with his S2000. Friend of his was driving it and misshifted from 5th to 3rd I think it was @ 80mph. Roughly $4,500 to get it fixed, luckily the guy who did the damage is pretty rich (recently went pro in track and makes roughly 4x in a month than I do in a year) and covered the cost.

Congrats Supra...go with the G, you will regret the decision if you get the Z instead...the Z is nice but the G is more luxury and performance wrapped into one...

I like the Z. More "pimpable" than the G I think. Some of you guys are acting like Z is ugly as hell, it's nicer than the S2000. Plus, interior wise they're both sporty as shit, but I think the interior on the S looks way cheaper than the Z.

Young lady, is there something you're trying to tell us about your choice of cuisine?

Congratulations on the new job.

Have you driven a Z yet? I took a few out for test drives while I was contemplating between a G35 Coupe and a 350Z.

Unless you plan on getting the bottom of the barrel Z, I personally think that most people would be better off with a G35 for the money. The Z felt cheaper to me when I was sitting in it and driving it and didn't have any options or nice features. The ugliest thing about the inside of that car though, has to be the inside of the door panels(not sure if that really matters to you or not.. but it stood out to me).

But for $26 grand to get the base Z, that's not a bad price considering what you get for looks and performance. It's when you start bumping it up to the #30K+ models that the G35 becomes the better option.

I think you'll be happy with either car, to be honest.

Supra's a female? I didn't know that

I never noticed the door panels, might check that out, but remember the Z is the sporty version of the G so it's impossible to look luxurious like our Gs cuz that's not what it's meant to be. I think they have better colors than us though

Well whatever I get I want it in black.. at least it will be easier to find a Z in black with the 6 speed. NO ONE around here has a 6 speed black.. I wanted blk/blk but not too sure I can be that picky.. The one guy at the dealership said he'd find me one but couldn't say he'd fine a black one let alone a blk/blk

I'll go by there today though.. on the same road as carmax.. I think? hmm lol

Congrats TS on the job. Best of luck on the law enforcement deal too. It might be to your advantage to go with a law prep associates degree (should give you a leg up on the other applicants).

BTW I just thought I'd mention that in Hawaii you'd get a stipend to use your personal gar as an official police vehicle, so many down here use their mustangs, Camaros, G (sedan at this time, but they are working on getting the coupes approved), SUV's, etc. as a patrol/response vehicle.

HPD & Maui PD are hiring!!!!

congrats on the job and welcome to the sears family ... it sucks ... or rather it sucked ... I used to sell shoes back in highschool then last year i worked briefly at another sears stocking tools ... I guess it's not a bad job but my manager was freaking annoying as hell ... ask for a transfer to merchandise pick up or a comission dept .... a bit more hassle but the extra money is worth it... oh and jus cuz you're stocking crap doesn't mean you won't have to deal with a crap load of dumbass customers ... trust me
