This couple just had their 16th kid and they are barely 40 years old. They want more too!!
I think someone is taking their religion too literally about contraception. At the rate they're going, they could have 25 or so kids by the time mother nature decides to shut down mommy's ovaries.
I have friends who come from familes of 12 and 13 kids, but most of the younger ones were born when the mother/father were in their very late 40's or even early 50's.... and some of them came from different marriages too.
Sick people.
Next time old Pops gets horny, he should just jerk off. It'd be a lot cheaper. :P

When I was in Korea for that 3-week exercise I worked with a Marine Lance Corporal who was #12 of 16. She had a sister she didn;t even meet until she was 14 or 15.

Okay, after reading that article, I have a few observations:
1) these two need to stop breeding because they are having ugly kids. For chrissakes, they are born with receding hairlines, even the girls. That's gotta be a sign of genetic weakness. I didn't see a single good looking person in the whole family photo. Some of them even look half-retarded.
2) any woman with a haircut like that needs to be slapped out of principle. It's just an elaborate mullet. Plus, after doing a search for pictures on the internet for pictures of the family you discover that shes had it since they got married 20 years ago.
3) they give their kids some stupid names: Joy-Anna, Jinger, Jessa, and a few obscure biblical names thrown in. Just stop it and move on to another letter of the alphabet.
4)The only good thing I can say is: at least they seem to be financially stable enough to support them. I'd be really pissed off if they were having these kids and were also on welfare or some other gov't sponsored program to pay for food/clothes/medical care.

Whoa... interesting responses. What have they done justify such criticism? Who's to say how many kids are enough or too much? Go to China if you want to be told such things. That you don't necessarily agree with their lifestyle choices doesn't make them wrong, and they are not forcing their lifestyle on you (which is a whole lot more than can be said of the gay rights movement these days it seems). Jeez, I certainly can't fault the guy for wanting to park his car in the garage every night, so to speak, so long as he can provide for the bunch. And if you have a wife that actually loves sex after a decade or two of marriage, it's a blessing! This a.m., I saw an interview this family and was very impressed with the childrens behavior and their level of maturity. Even the 5 year olds were notably more articulate in their statements than several of the posts I've seen in this forum. They seemed quite well adjusted to me. Frankly, when I see a close-knit, happy family full of joy for life it makes me want to know some of their secrets, not criticize them. Why are people threatened by these things?
