I'm not siding with anyone with this thing.. damn.. I'm just stating NO ONE knows the true story so I stay in the middle. PUNCHING should never be done by an officer but they are human beings..
Again i'm not saying what they did was right or wrong..
Does it say what time this all happend? From what it looks like there isn't anywhere near that would sell cigs? Isn't there like a bar right there?
It just doesn't add up to me for some odd reason.
And stop stating "damn cops" it's not every officer.. some actually work their asses off for the people of this damn state.
But not me.. I highly doubt i'll get the chance to be an officer :shruggs:
even IF, the man was being a problem for the police dickheads to arrest, then they shouldve dealt with him appropriately.
punching him in the back of the head, WHILE HE'S ALREADY CUFFED IS NOT A WAY TO DEAL WITH IT!
my dad was a PIO for 20+ years. and i've NEVER heard him say ANYTHING negative about police officers, TILL THE DAY WE SAW THIS VIDEO.
fucking cops arent the same as they use to be. now they're a bunch of hot headed idiots that rule the streets.
i have NO respect for police officers. i use to look up to their work, but i've seen too much bullshit over the years. and EXPERIENCED it MYSELF to even regard their efforts as just.

actually hun they were a LOT worse before.. there wasn't this restriction that we have now. Back in the day it was the good 'ol boys and there wernt any restrictions! Now everyone sues everyone.. you always have to protect your ass! Do you have any clue how many officers have been killed because they were afraid of what would happen to them if they killed the suspect??
Every tool an officer is given to "level out the playing field" is questioned. When OC/Pepper spray was given out people whined SO bad how "inhumane" it has and tried to get it banned.. now they are trying to do the same about the tazer..

but yea.. punching shouldn't be done
i am fully aware of the dangers that officers are put on everytime that they are on the streets. and i am a full advocate for them defending themselves in a crossfire. but this is not the issue at hand.
you cannot deny the fact that nearly 90% of officers act like they rule the streets. i was once with my brother on a highway, we were about 10 MPH over the speed limit, but there was some asshole on a mustang that FLEW by us. nearly 20 seconds later, we got pulled over by a florida highway bitch. we claimed why didnt he chase after the mustang instead??? and the officer said "i cant do everything."
you are an aspiring cop, so your point of view is 100% BIASED. i KNOW what the police USE to be like. like ive stated 5 times, my dad was PIO for the CITY OF MIAMI POLICE DEPARTMENT. so i know a thing or two about the police task force. we all agree, that the police officers of today are just a bunch of pricks. instead of worrying about crimes being committed, or responding to an emergency call.. why do they waste so much time giving parking infraction tickets??? or waiting at a God damn intersection, making sure no one blocks it. thats fucking ridiculous.
back in high school, i was once with a group of friends in one of my friend's cars. we got pulled over for blocking an intersection. he got a ticket for blocking the intersection. my friend decided to call him mom and ask her what he should do. so as he was talking to his mom on his cell phone, sheriff dickhead said "MOVE OUT OF HERE BEFORE I GIVE YOU ANOTHER TICKET." we were pulled off to a side road, with no traffic what so ever, besides, we werent even on the street; we were up against the curb. you explain that to me supra.
tell me how my friend endangered the cop in any way, or caused him to react like the asshole he is?
Like Gard said it's the few that make it difficult for everyone else. Tazers are called into question because it seems unreasonable to the public that an able bodied officer should need to use it against a 70 year old senior citizen or 12 year old child.
It's very wrong to assume that all officers are uncaring power mad Nazis just looking to dish out a beating just as it is unreasonable to assume that all officers always make the right decision. In the end we are all just people and we all make mistakes. The trick is realizing when you've gotten carried away and having the ability to regain control.

Not all cops are bad. I see TS's point of view...camera caught a lot ...but there's 3 sides to every story...the old man's ...the cop's... and the TRUTH.
Cops are human...just like the soldiers oversea... the media replays all the bad stuff OVER AND OVER AND OVER... we never see any good stuff on the news anymore.
Did you guys hear about the Cop that got killed by a civilian backing his car out in Rancho Cucamuga, CA? That was my boss's close friend. Pretty sad. Cops do put their lives out there for us.
I know how you feel though homie! I've gotten the "you fit the description" rap before by cops when I've gotten pulled over. Eventually they let me go after they harass me a little bit because they have the wrong guy.
Like I said there are lots of good cops out there that really do their jobs well and protect the innocent, my whole point is the cops like those who beat Rodney King and the retired school teacher needs to be taught a lesson. I'm not shitting on cops just the bad ones. I've met fucking pieces of shit and their pepper spray but I've met real good ones, it just makes me mad that these few bad apples make the police look bad.

I just saw the unedited video, and clearly one cop repeatedly punched the guy in the begining. That's uncalled for. Yes towards the end they had some problem getting the guy in handcuffs but the guy gets punched from the back in the begining. That's not how cops subdue a guy, from what I understand. They're taught submission moves to take down a suspect but punching them from the back isn't one of them.
