Default Anyone Have Any Experience With Nissan Frontiers?

I might look at a few 1998-1999 Nissan Frontiers as a second vehicle for my G. So far I've been focusing mostly on used Tacomas, but people are asking like 13 grand for ones with under 100K miles. I seem to be able to find a used Frontier V-6 with under 75K miles for around $9K.... but is it worth it?

If I get a Frontier, it will probably be a 1999 with around 65-70K miles, in a 5-speed with a V6 and extended cab, short bed.

I already did research on the net, but I'd like to see what real people say about these vehicles.

Do they rust? Are they reliable? Do they ride well? Are they underpowered/poor fuel economy? Whatever useful info anyone can provide from their own actual experience would be very appreciated.

I've heard nothing but good things about smaller japanese trucks although I have not had any first hand experience with them. The pricing seems to be inline with the reliability compared to the domestics. Just FYI you can't fit a sheet of drywall flat on anything less than a full size.

Thanks.. but it shouldn't be a concern anyways right now. I'm mostly going to be carrying my bike, garbage, and maybe pulling a light trailer from the back.
