Default Bush takes blame for late response to Katrina

haha... Dumbass Bush actually took blame for the fed. govt taking so long to react to Katrina.
what a tool. now people will realize (from his own mouth) EVEN MORE what an idiot he is and how stupid they were for re-electing his dumbass.

also... if not more important -- some officials have lost their jobs and more are expected to. at least people are being held responsible.

yeah i can understand that thought process. but in a situation like this... well, it's almost like cheating on someone. you lie to them and get away with it (or in this case don't come out and admit fault for those that can't figure it out) or you apologize and pray that the person fogives. most don't. i mean this had an impact on so many lives! he and the govt fucked up very bad. forgive him? no.

So who are the stupid ones, the one who leads or the people who follow? That's what disappoints me and scares me at the same time. I went to Europe about two months ago and toured it for about three weeks. No matter what country I was in, no matter how old the person was, no matter what race, no one had a good thing to say about Bush.

With regards to Katrina, I think there is plenty of blame to go around. It's the visual of him in Coronado at a fund raiser on day 2 of Katrina, and then there was the way he says New Orleans was bad as he saw it from the plane that makes me fume. Want to be Presidential, go down to ground zero and act like it ASAP! Don't go days later and tour the areas that are considered safe.

Fuckit, I'm just tired tired tired. He's not the comeback kid like Clinton was, he's more like the emperor who has no clothes and there is no one willing to say a god damn thing!

The article I read spoke about Iraq vs. Katrina and accepting how he didn't do both well and had the quote, "to the extent that the federal government didn't fully do its job right, I take responsibility".

I did not say forgive...I just said that for the first time ever I have an undisclosed amount of respect.

Don't worry...it will probably pass.

Well, I wonder if voters will be smart enough to 'fire' non-federal government appointed officials that dropped the ball, ie., Blanco and Nagin at the next election too? Or make enough noise to have them resign their jobs first? Either way, I ain't holdin' my breath.
