Default Question for the gun guys

How do I get rid of bullets? Besides the obvious, I mean.

I bought some rounds from Walmart a long time ago because my dad wanted to go shooting. We finally went this past weekend, and the guys at the range told us we have to use their ammo if we rent their guns. Whatever, I can understand that I guess. So the problem is
1) I don't own a gun and it seems silly to buy one just to shoot off 100 rounds.
2) I can't use those rounds at the range since I'll be renting guns.
3) I can't return them because I don't have a receipt.
4) I can't sell them on ebay because I can't mail bullets.

So what do I do?

set your security settings to allow cookies from right-wing sites, then...

*but seriously*
try contacting the local NRA (there are a few of those guys in TX)

They should be able to hook you up with a local shop, range, or reloader who will take them off your hands.

But what if I accidentally have moveon.org open at the same time and my browser crashes from the conflict

That's a good idea, although I might have to look hard to find a chapter in Austin I'll check into it!

Make sure you give Stru the right kind of kindling. Use the wrong wood and the results could be catastrophic.

You could just ask the range guys if they want the ammo. I'm sure one of them has the right caliber to blow through those two boxes.

Yeah, the ranges here won't let me. Is it possible to mail bullets? I'm pretty sure you can't do that without some special permits...?

You can mail it to someone, you just have to follow the rules. If you visit http://www.gunbroker.com you can see many people selling ammo.

Send them to the NOPD. I'm sure that they can put them to good use.
