Default Gas prices in Atlanta....bastards!

A panic over a rumor we are not going to have any gas in a couple of days.

Gas at prices up to $6.50 a gallon and maybe even higher!

Wow, did you keep your ol' badge gard? Can you flash 'em?

Personally I can't believe what is happening. It's like we have all gone nuts.

I thought we were bad, NJ is usually the cheapest in the nation and gas went from $2.69 to $3.39 overnight.

I'm cranking up the Harley tomorrow (if the torrential rain we are having subsides.)

Columbia, SC is out of gas and I just filled up in Charleston, SC at $3.29 /gal. This is getting ridiculous. I have to go to Columbia tonight for the USC game...man this is going to be fun.

$2.97 here, sorry.

If it makes you feel any better...
Quote:
WASHINGTON (Reuters) - President Bush warned Thursday against price-gouging of gasoline in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina and said looters should be treated with zero tolerance.

"I think there ought to be zero tolerance of people breaking the law during an emergency such as this, whether it be looting, or price-gouging at the gasoline pump or taking advantage of charitable giving, or insurance fraud," Bush said in an interview on ABC's "Good Morning America."

Gasoline sellers have been fast to raise prices in the wake of the storm. Prices have risen above $3 a gallon and in some places are higher because of a sudden drop in oil supplies.

Bush said Americans should conserve more gasoline in response to the crisis and said he expected Saudi Arabia to do "everything they can" to provide more oil. He said eight refineries are down in the Gulf and "it's going to take a while" to get them going again.

"I would hope Americans conserve if given a choice," he said.

The Southeastern U.S. region is served by the now closed Colonial and Plantation pipelines, which originate in Collins, MS. I assume most, if not all, of the off-line refineries in the coastal region deliver thru this supply route so it stands to reason any initial shortages could occur along this distribution route which reaches as far north as Virginia.

Sorry Gard,

Georgia Terminal Locations:

2797 Woodwin Road
Doraville, GA 30360
Supplied by Colonial Pipeline and Plantation Pipeline

2505 Allen Road
Macon, GA 31206
Supplied by Colonial Pipeline and Plantation Pipeline

1722 W. Oakridge Drive
Albany, GA 31707
Supplied by Colonial Pipeline

Plains Road Highway 280
Americus, GA 31709
Supplied by Colonial Pipeline

3460 Jefferson Road
Athens, GA 30607
Supplied by Plantation Pipeline

Charleston gas stations will be closing at 1:00 pm today and proceed to start rationing gas.
