Wow thanks for all your advice. I didn't really think about calories, I was mainly focused on protein. Well, I'll see how I like this heavy to light sets and see if I gain faster with it. I'll report back in a month.

Hey, also I didn't really touch on supplements. I take a few (glutamine, CLA, ZMA, and a multi-vitamin), but the most important one is creatine. I'd recommend taking that one. You don't have to do the loading like the bottles say, but 5 grams a day post workout (some people go pre-workout) is optimal. Just make sure every couple months that you take 3 weeks or so off from taking it. You don't want to build up creatinine stores in your liver. Drink plenty of water too so your kidneys won't have a problem processing the creatine. Actually, make sure you drink plenty of water if if you decide not to take creatine. Also make sure you're drinking a shake or something immediately after you workout. It's extremely important to get a dose of simple carbs and protein after your workout to replenish glycogen stores in your muscles.

Hope this stuff helps.

the best supplement combination i have found is by muscletech. Cell-tech, which is creatine, and Nitro-tech, which is protein. The Cell-tech tastes terrible but it does work. Just dont over do it because it can mess you up if you take to much. You will start to notice a difference about 3 or 4 weeks after you start taking it. It isnt to bad in price, atleast not down here it isnt. And if you have a gold card to GNC you get 30% off in the first week of the month. But give it a try for about 2 months and you'll see some serious results.
