Yea we get some crazy ones called Lenticular clouds over Mt. Rainier, because it is a volcano off by itself, and has permanent glaciers, on hot, humid, clear days it's so high and cold, it makes clouds form just around it. These have odd circular shapes, and float above the summit by several hundred feet.
You can see in some of these shots why people might have reported them as flying saucers
I see those lenticular clouds all the time when I'm flying. I've also seen the the clouds that started this whole thread in WA once. I thought they were smoke at first.
