i hadn't thought about it. i was considering going to del mar, but i'll ask some buddies if they're up. i'll drop you a line if i am going, and maybe we can grab a beer.
Now, I know why we didn't jack this thread two hours ago...you wouldn't have been able to get into several of those topics...but my gosh my eyes are glazed over and my sentbox is 100%
I am sad to leave but I have been typing for hours, didn't sleep all last night cuz some teenage prank callers have been calling for a couple of days asking about my breasts and finally at 1:40am last night I had to talk with the mother who of course reacted by hanging up on me and I almost posted the phone number in the tot forum with the heading that said Jaylin, if you ever loved me.....
It was about to be "so on!"
Nighty night, I am glad you drank that big coffee and kept me up. Sometimes the price you pay for a great conversation...this will need to be continued at a later date. I must know the answers...
Engineer, we did make down there for the Friday show. It took 3.5 hours to drive down from the Oc It was bumper to bumper from Camp Pendelton to the 805 split (avg speed of about 15 miles an hour). Holy shit was I in a bad mood when we finally go to our hotel. Took the trolly over to the Q and arrived just as Garbage took the stage. They were awsome, Shirley's a babe...mmmmm......the Black Eyed Peas had started about 30 minutes earlier and I didn't think we'd be able to catch any of them so we didnt even bother, but it turns out their set ran about 30 minutes late so we prolly could've seen em.
Next up were the White Stripes. We got about 50 feet from the stage before they came on. They were after BEP's so they started late which means we missed entirely the Social Distortion show and saw only about 15 minutes of the Killers. but, it was all good the Stripes absolutely ROCKED. I'll try to post a few pics (they didn't come out all that great). too bad you couldn't make it; we would have NEVER found each other anyway, even if I knew what you looked like!
You've got to be kidding me...and I thought the USC football traffic was bad, but not near that bad...
You're right, USC football traffic IS bad
Traffice from the OC to SD is usually not much better than that, but it was a strange confluence of events. Weekend #2 at Del Mar race track (where the turf meets the surf), The Street Scene, a Padres home game, and normal Friday night rush hour traffic......one freeway between the two areas. should've taken the train

Lardoggy, I think Jaylin is talking about the U of South Cackalackie. All those cock lovers trying to get into/out of the stadium over there on the east coast can cause quite the traffic jam.
