I want to go to an island or some tropical place. I've been to Oahu and was planning on goin to the Bahamas later this year but was wondering if anyone had any recommendations. Oh yea...I'm plannin on takin the Vacation b/t Oct and Dec.
I started at the airport not too long ago, so I can just wake up and say damn I wanna go to Cancun. All I pay is about $35 the most. If I want all inclusive, it'll be about $65 So I kinda like this job.

What part of Jamaica should I stay at??
Depends on what you are looking for. Luxury, scenery, locality, reality. Nigril is a good choice if you want the luxury tourist resort feel. Montego Bay is another option. Depending on your racial makeup, DO NOT GO TO KINGSTON.
I actually lived in Jamaica for about 1 year but not in any of the well known locations. I lived like the locals which included no running water in door, no washing machines, shortage of food and supplies, etc. in a town called Alligator Pond. Most people visit the resort areas and they are MUCH different than the rest of the island.
Jamaica is a third world country in terms of wealth and technology which most people don't see. Personally if going there is an option I would stay a couple different places. The scenery over there is breathtaking and overwhelming when you walk down the dirt roads in the middle of the jungle.
I miss it quite a bit. Climbing a tree to pick fresh papayas, pineapple and coconuts. The sugarcane is unbelievable as well. In any case let me know if you decide to go and I may be able to hook you up with some of the friendly locals.
i love it there - but it's more a place to relax. not much "craziness" going on there.. but there are some cool bars. i go on a cruis ship - so i have my own fun on there.
Bermuda is where i met my ex-gf that i've cried to most of you about, and also where my mom was re-married. been there about 5 times - great place.
Hawaii does have much more to offer, but different types of islands.
oo and Barbados is one of my favs too. i love the cultue there and Bermuda as well.

I forwarded an email funny to my email buddies today...got a response from a guy who used to work with me. He invited me to go to Spain in two weeks. Darn it that is not enough notice!
I'd say Maui or the Big Island of Hawaii...especially if you've only ever been to Oahu. If you didn't want to fly that far, I'd recommend Grand Cayman. Beautiful beaches, swim with stingrays, and AWESOME rum. Tortuga rum is the shit!! Especially their banana rum, coconut rum, and spiced rum. I'll pay you $10 for every bottle that you bring back for me too!!!
