DMB is playing... you probably know i'm big into them... but each band is only playing for 20-30 min.
i'm not really going for the music, just for the craziness.

Yea, details...I love concerts and that line up would have been worth the drive though last time I was in Philly for a concert someone slashed my tire and then narc dogs searched my car. Not too fun.

The coverage I've seen on VH1/MTV hasn't been that great. Hopefully it's just poor recording on their part, but the music sounded like crap the few times they actually cut away from their talking heads.

i'm in Conshy, PA right now, so i'll be more detailed later on...

but - CRAZY!!! soooo many people.

i'm not a big Linkin Park fan... but they stole the show. when JayZ came out and played another 25 minutes with them .... it was awesome. can't say i see much talent with either... but they put on a great show.
DMB was decent-not as good as they can be but they had to leave to go to a show tonight at the SPAC (Saratoga Performing Arts Center) NY

saw some stuff on tv.. Pink Floyd, Coldplay, etc. seems like London got much better stuff than Philly. some of the acts were jokes

I never really got into them but that is just because I haven't listened yet. An old friend used to play with them sometimes and when he was out visiting my ex and I his cell kept ringing from one of them trying to score coke. I might have been turned off...

What is good that I should hear of Linkin Park?

From what I read and heard MTV and VH-1 spent more time with the hosts explaining what was going on, than the actual footage of the bands playing. You can watch the live webcast repeat for all the different concert locations online at www.aol.com > "Music - Live 8 Concert". I've been watching the London concert for the last 3 hours, only problem is that you can't fast forward through the bands you don't want to see, and I know that Pink Floyd will be playing last...

msb, dam dude, i wish i would have seen this earlier. I did roll up to the Live 8...but it was sooo dam crowded and hott...did you see the people sitting on the portopottys HAHAHA i bet it smelled like shit. My buds and I left after like an hour and went clubbing before everyone was stuck on the trains. I hope you didnt stay THE ENTIRE TIME!!!! anyway, im in philly for today and im out, so best regards, or if your staying for the fire werks we can meet up downtown...later
