I just picked up a Pentax Optio S and absolutely love it. It's small (I use an altoids box as the case!), 3.2 MP, 3x optical zoom, movie mode, etc. Very good buy for anyone interested or shopping around ($399)
The manufacturer gave me the idea for the case! A little felt in there, and it fits snuggly so it doesn't move around at all.
Nikon Coolpix 995 for main photo use, Sony MVC-FD91 for mpeg's and a Polaroid PDC640 for knocking around.

The 995 takes really nice photos. I need to get some good strobes for taking indoor photos of rooms. Saw some at Wolf Camera for 399, included to strobes, umbrellas and stands.

That sounds like a great package. Do you have a link to it somewhere so I can see what all it includes?

Sony DSC S75, Great camera, lots of features, including the option to get lenses. I enjoy the freedom that this digi-cam gives me allowing full manual mode etc.
I went whole hog a year ago and got a good range of lenses. Nice thing about lenses is they don't depreciate. Camera bodies on the other hand have been dropping like crazy. Less than a year ago I bought the D60 for $2200 and it's been replaced with the $1500 10D! Luckily I ebayed my D60 soon enough to upgrade for almost nothing. [rockon]
My current lens lineup includes:
20/2.8 USM
24-85/3.5 USM
50/1.8
70-200L/f4
My favorites are the 20mm, which I just got, and the 70-200. My next project is to make a sturdy camera mount for my helmet and take it skydiving, which was my main reason for getting the 20mm. I might end up by a cheap fisheye for that purpose though as this lens is kinda heavy. Need to scrape together some more funds before finishing that project.
