thanks guys and girls... but dammit - i didn't have the chance.
i sat next to her in the beginning of the 5 week class but didn't realize i "liked" her so didn't say anything great (but did make a good first impression and helped her with something)
so my plan for tonight was to wait outside of the building (like walk out right before her)
and just say
"hey Julie, I'm Mike (never introduced myself before yada, yada, yada)
i'm normally not this direct, but was wondering if you would like to go out sometime."
just short, sweet, and simple - no BS.
BUT -- she was late to class and apparently parked on the other side and came out a different way... when i saw her getting to her car - i woulda had to literally RUN to her - which is obviously a no no - HAHA.
so.. tomorrow is the final -- and the chance of us walking out together is very small. plus i can't really talk to her in class... my only idea is very "grade-school" to drop her a note and just say something small -- and leave my cell number and IM name.
seemed corny at first... but now im thinking.. WTF? who cares i have nothing to lose -- and my options are very limited at this point. plus it would give her the option and not put her "on the spot"

Now, having said that, few months ago I met this chick who lives in my complex, she stopped out in front of my garage while I was washing the G. This happened again a few weeks later (she stopped). I asked what unit she lived in but couldnt remember and was too much of an idiot to ask for a phone #. Lucky me, I found out where she parks her car, so one night I'm gonna leave a note on her door asking her to call me (since I dind't know what unit she lived in). I get to the car and find a bunch of guy's dry cleaning hanging so I just kept on going....I've since seen her driving with a guy in the car....phew!
