Jellyfish suck! I was surrounded by a number of large jellyfish (basketball size and larger) on one of my certification dives back in college and ran into one while descending on my second dive. Fortunately, it was just a jellyfish and not a Portugese-man-of-war, but it still hurt and made me suck down my air in no time Not fun

I got some video of a few that ended up on the beach, but no pics, sorry. I'll see if I can pull some frames off of the video though.

Got some pics uploaded. They aren't great and I haven't had time to process them yet, but a few of them are cool.

I didn't bring my full SLR rig because I was worried about losing my equipment in a strange country but I'm really regretting it now. There was a ton of beautiful stuff to shoot out there.

And as far as debauchery goes, it wasn't the good kind of debauchery like me, princess and 12 yards of naugahyde. It was the unpleasant to look at debauchery of 60 year old European men with 15 year old girls.

What sport is that with the guys riding the elephants?

The elephants were part of a show. They had them bowling, playing soccer, shooting hoops and throwing darts. I kinda felt bad for the elephants beacuse I imagin that their training was no doubt unpleasant, but they did seem to have a good time performing based on the way they reacted to the crowds cheering.

I was especially impressed by the bowling though the thought of an elephant being able to throw a bowling ball with some degree of accuracy is a little scary if you think about it.

No, I only saw one strike, but they were awesome at picking up spares.
