i was out on the town tonight, and noticed the the most beautiful girls were with the most lame guys. why is this? i consider myself one of the more eligible bachelors in san diego, and the ladies would prefer an out of work loser surfer to myself. has anyone else encountered this delima?
yeah man.. i gotta chime in on this. after being apart from my ex for a while now - and of course looking a lot more - i'm noticing this and it is pissing me off. HAHA
well i'm young (24) but i was at the new NJ aquarium (adventure aquarium) last weekend... and saw the most AMAZING girl. i mean AMAZING. and i don't go for the "model" types. i go for the cute looking girl "the girl next door" type i guess you could say. but this girl was def a 9.5 out of 10. just amazing. and yes... she was with the BIGGEST DORK IMAGINABLE. i wanted to puke. all over them . haha - but really i was beside myself for 30 minutes i was just like "what the... how the... what the f... how is she with him?" my friends were like "mike, get over it" haha but it did bother me.
it was probably her brother - LOL
but yeah i've noticed this increasingly. whenever i see a good looking girl with a guy - he is usually a huge dork. it is devastating. haha

But before I drive north about an hour and debase myself for what I cannot be sure is a good purpose...I thought I would see if anything intellectual might be going on up in the TOT which I might read when I get back from this day.
So let me get this straight first... is the question then that a guy with a degree, a pedigree maybe even, an incredible taste in cars, a career, and an abundance of love/or something equivalent to give can't find some gorgeous woman to share with because she is out dating a slacking idiot?
If this is more than a one time thing I imagine that everyone here may have experienced something similar. Just curious but does the guy have any pheremones at all? Is he outright ugly or something? In what way is he a total lameass? This is totally getting ahead of myself but I would bet that if you got that gorgeous woman she would certainly be the biggest pain in your ass and have no idea what to do with you. But maybe not...who knows?...I like to hang with physically gorgeous women...and typically they are every bit as sick as their counterparts.
When it comes to why people are attracted to each other many reasons come into play. Look at Donald Trump, what makes him attractive? It surely is not his looks. Money can play into the reasons, probably a very high reason for many people. However that is not really a ggod reason to base a relationship.
Many times, good looking girls are avoided by many guys, the guys feel they will be rejected so they don't even try. The dorky guy asks them out and treats them good.
As far as women go, I have never really met a girl, no matter how they looked that could not find a man. And that really boils down to how a woman treats her man. Guys need to learn from that, if we treat a woman in the way they want they become putty in our hands. You must first learn what she wants or expects to be treated and then you are on the road to happiness.
There is also another whole world of why woman are attracted to certain types of guys that comes from childhood abuse. Stuff I learned while in law enforcement, I won't even talk about that today.
Its the same old saga with a twist- why do girls always go for the asshole mofo??? And Gard, I know exactly what you're saying. Peoples experiences influence them differently and shape who they are and what they seek.

I use to be the asshole type and it paid off. I use to get laid at least 3 times more than my friends in a month and they couldn't figure out why. I told them because I was honest. I use to tell them females what I wanted and that I am sure that they wouldn't regret their decisions. To this day, no complaints yet. The best part about it, is I'm not that attractive, I just have a good personality.

I've am partial to kindness and a monster set of balls. I have been attracted to alot of different types but currently strength of character would be on the top of the list. It would be sweet to find a guy with an unlimited will to match mine. With my girl friends I think I have observed that the pretty ones were always given too many choices, too many options and it didn't help that often in youth one hardly knows what they want anyway from one minute to the next. It is that constant state of confusion that doesn't help the mating thing. If you see a girl with a lame guy it is possible even that she has no self esteem and seriously she would be a pain in your ass. People with low self worth tend to be jealouse and petty and...well perhaps no worse than other people. I just know that would be an unacceptable type for me.

The easiest way to get what you want is to go out and just get what you want. Make it happen. Only one life. No reason any more moments than absolutely necessary should be spent in a state other than happiness.

A guy I used to work for (sort of a mentor) used to tell me, in life (career) you don't get what you deserve, you get what you negotiate. I think that kind of what you're saying here LC. I do think a lot of women have a stronger interest in a man's personality than we men think. You see a lot of guys that we might consider so-so physically having good times with some hot women and often this is simply because they had the huevos to take a swing. These huevos are usually a by-product of an outgoing personality and who doesn't like that kind of person (I said outgoing not self centered)?
Oh yeah, don't forget, for every good looking woman, somewhere, some guy's sick of her shit!
