Default Garage makeover

I am back at fixing up my garage again, decided against the light yellow paint and went with a blue. The bottom half of the walls will be bright white paint on beadboard. Getting new doors on Monday and hope to have the painting done by then or shortly after. Got a lot of clutter removed and more to get rid of. Going to put up a couple more cabinets and some peg board as well. The photo is really three merged together, that is why it looks a little funny.

A nice new yellow C6 Z06 would fit in really nicely there.

Can you believe it, I am back to my garage again. Been so busy the last year or so I did not have time to work on it any.

Here are the doors, old then new.

And now I have decided on a different color, a light beige on the bead board and a dark beige on the Sheetrock.

Hey Gard, how wide is the opening on the left? I've got to do some garage doors and mine has to be about 20'. Recommendations on going single versus split garage doors?

Looks a lot better than what it used to be:P You've motivated me to redo my garage. You did the floors too? Is that something that's simple to do?

Rice, floors are easy. Epoxy coating kits are sold, just need to hit it up with a pressure washer and drop the floor coating.

I think there are 18 and 9 feet wide. The narrow ones are hard to pull into if you don't have enough swing to pull into them straight. My TT and xB fit in pretty easy. My truck is to big to even fit inside lenghtwise, and would be hard to fit in the single door anyway.

I have two walls completed now with the bead board from the floor up 4.5 feet, then 32 inches of pegboard and sheetrock from there to the ceiling. Now I need to get plenty of hooks to hang stuff on, that and get rid of more junk. I have a real nice dishwasher sitting out there from a client's house. He removed one of the dishwashers to install a drink cooler for his kids and gave me the dishwasher. I need to install it in my kitchen when I get a chance.

I did the floors with a gray paint, not real happy with it. When I complete the walls I am going to redo the floor with an epoxy treatment. That and some Race Deck tiles where the new Z06 will sit someday.

Gard more room means you will get more stuff. You are like a fish, the bigger the tank the biggrer the fish.

Did you need more support for the 18' door? That's my concern is having to install some additional supports for the door (which means I essentially would need to go with two separate doors).

Anywho, it looks good.

The new doors are made of steel and don't sag. The old ones were wood and they sagged in the middle, they even had braces on them on each section to support them. Get the steel doors with insulation and a steel liner inside, make for a nice door over the wood ones.
