Do you guys have access to Instant Messenging services?

Yeah... my company does the same sort of thing with supporting the military(Govt. Contractor), but we only block sites that relate to sexual content, gambling, hacking, or generally rude or unpleasantly natured sites.
We just blocked AIM and other Instant Messaging services like 2 weeks ago.
It's quite boring here now.

at least your company dont block out forum sites....I'm lucky 6mt isnt block, they even went out to block out cell phone provider sites too, cant even pay for my bill now...
damn firewall admin think they're god or something....
Unfortunately our internet filtering is done through the state since my boss saw 'free' and decided it was better to have one size fits all and pretty well 0 flexibility than pay $5K and be able to have different levels of filtering.
At least I can fire up a VPN connection to my home network to get around the filtering if its for something I don't want to open up for everyone.

You know what's funny? I can get to all of the other forums and webmail sites from my work computer. Go figure.
