Anyone in the OC been to "Ten" yet? Its a relatively new sushi restaurant over by the airport and I they've got a night club attached to it called "Tentation" but haven't been there yet. I think it's been open for about a month or so, but it's a pretty good happy hour. Nice restaurant, great decor/ambiance, inexpensive but tasty food and lots of hotties! I highly recommend it although the crowd can get to be a bit Newport Bitchy at times
Me and my girls went there for Valentine's Day cuz none of us had a date... yah 10 girls..no date on V day!
It's a club on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday night. I just went there this past Thursday with a friend... one of the best clubs I've been too. I had a blast. Highly recommend it.
That's funny, i was there on Thursday too, I was surprised at how busy it was considering it was Cinco de Mayo! It was more of a happy hour deal for us though, I was only there till about 8 then pooped out.
I tried sushi when I was in S.D a month ago. Yuuuuck!
I couldn't tell if I was at the dinner table or on Fear Factor.

no way!!! LOL... we missed each other than...cuz I got there 11:30pm... yah I know it was kinda late but hell that's when the night just got started...
I haven't been to Ten yet, but I may have to try it out for the "scenery"....
I work at a Sushi Bar/Japanese Restaurant in Ladera Ranch called Kanpai Sushi (www.kanpaisushi.net - but the website isn't fully completed yet). "Kanpai" is Japanese for "Cheers!". The sushi and food there is excellent, and the prices aren't bad either. The fish is fresh and high quality.
A couple other sushi places in OC that are at the top of my list for quality (not just "trendy" spots):
1. Matsu in Huntington Beach (my friend's family owns this one)
2. California Beach in Newport Beach
3. Taiko in Irvine
Enjoy!
Mark

You know the weirdest thing is that I saw more Japanese restraunts up there than down here.
I ate at one over is Costa Mesa, while getting a flat repaired on our Nissan Armada (friker never made it out of the parking lot before the TPS went off). It was pretty good.

Friker??? Must be a Pacific Islander thing..
Anyway, yeah, there is plenty of good sushi here in the OC! Being kind of close to the source doesnt hurt
