being a hypocrite in everyday life

I tend to be flakey but not really hypocritical. I believe that it is true that you can't really get anywhere with someone by telling them to "do what I say not what I do". I have seen this with parents constantly...they don't want their teenager to smoke pot but they have been doing it for years. Have to inspire people by your actions unless you are one elequent mf...unless you really have the gift...at that point perhaps a career as an evangelist.

My kids can smoke pot, but if I catch them then it's their ass. Pot is not that bad, but it can definitely lead to other drugs (experience). But I think you need to try something to realize that it can harm you, regardless of the effects that you feel. But normally, when you tell someone not to do something, then it urges them to at least try it. I feel that my kids can try something as long as I am present and able to supervise them. Yet for some reason I still don't have any kids.

Just remember, Jim Ignatoski (Iggy) only smoked pot once and he was in Yale (Harvard?) when he did it.
