I forgot to post this yesterday. I was at my dealer waiting for an oil change and checking out a few M's they had in the show room. Sales guy comes by and asks me if I wanna test drive. I felt bad wasting his time should a customer come in so I said no but he insisted saying it was raining and a wednesday morning so no one was gonna come in. He leaves for a sec and comes back with keys to a black M35x. He said he didn't have any M45 available for test drives currently. Considering the rain and the price tag on the car I didn't puish the car hard but from what little I did I think the thing corners wonderfully. The stereo sounds just great with those speakers in the seats next to the headrest. The heated/cooled seats work so much better than the G. I didn't really like the navi but then I didn't really get to use it beyond looking at a few menus. The gauge cluster looks great in the dark. If I had the money then chances are I'd be picking up a M and giving in the G
Woah, I guess I lost track of that car after the Fuga concept. It just looks like a G sedan with nicer stuff inside...is it on the FM platform also? If so, what's really different from the G?

Bigger, plushier, more of a tourer (in 3.5L guise).......more expensive. It is more geared towards the older person (someone like Gard I suspect would be the target), but the V8 4.5L variant is a tempting option for males of all ages. The older 4.5L M you'd swear was the muscle car concept of a Japanese car adapted for the american market.
For some reason when I kept requesting G information, Infiniti would always send me stuff for the M (and still do).

it is the same FM platform we have but stretched a few inches. Everything inside looks much more refined. No manual option though ... as for looks I think the two distinguishing things about the M are the headlight clusters and the wheels that come on the M45
That car is sick looking. I dropped my car off Wed and was looking at the M35 fully loaded with 19's. Damn! Blue tooth technology, dvd player, dvd audio, 12 speaker true surround sound, voice activated EVERYTHING, touch start, laser guided cruise, and much more. If they make it in a coupe or convertible, I'm trading in the G.
There was a concept pic posted many months ago. They didn't specify that it was the M35/M45 coupe, but the speculation was that it might be. Looked pretty good IMHO.
Didn't the previous generation M have a coupe? If so, I think Nissan would look at providing a coupe for those of us who remember the Grand Nationals and Monte Carlo SS's of the 80's. This would seem to be the targets for this car.

I might be wrong, but I don't think the previous generation M had a coupe... doesn't mean I don't want one though. I just don't remember ever seeing one?
I don't remember them offering the M series in a coupe. Infiniti is expecting 5 new models for '06. But who knows what they will be? Hopefully, the M35/45 in a coupe and convertible and a new SUV maybe?
I doubt we'll see an M coupe, and I'm pretty sure there's never been one. It would probably compete with the 6-series, and I don't see Infiniti doing that.
But they've surprised me before...
