Default 04 g35c 5at vs 04 accord coupe 6mt vs 05 Rsx-s 6mt

Hey i was just wondering who would win in a drag race between these cars. I have the auto g35c, but my cousin just bought a accord 6mt coupe and my girlfriend is about to buy the 05 acura rsx-S 6mt. I would think my car would win, but on closer look, the 04 accord 6mt coupe i heard does 0-60 in 6.1 sec and does the 1/4 mile in 14.5 sec. If thats the case i think the race would be really close. Im kind of mad about this because the G is so much of a nicer car and we're practically the same in terms of performance. I dont wanna embarass the prestige of our cars and lose to a accord. And also my gf is getting the 2005 rsx-S 6mt which is getting a 10 hp increase from the 04 and also better suspensions. I wonder how that car would fair against mine. I've heard i would take the rsx-s on the straight away but on roads with some twisties i might have a hard time and even lose. And the last thing i want is to lose to my gf in a race lol. I would like to believe that i still have the fastest car among the 3. =) Can someone please tell me what they think of my chances against these 2 cars?

From a start u should beat the acoord and the RSX....my friend has a accord 04 6mt...its pretty quick...but it would kinda burn rubber on a drag because of the front wheel driving system

chances are you'll beat the accord...that figure for the accord requires precise shifting which in real life most people cannot do.

as for the RSX ... you should beat it in straight line no problem and twisties shouldn't be much trouble either. The RSX is a front heavy front wheel drive car ... fwd is cost effective but not very performance oriented ... fwd generally = lots of understeer

They are not even in the same class .... dont even try to race them (whats the point?) ... go after something that you are not sure you can beat s2000 or something ...

dont put down the accord too much....its a car with power...my friend with the 6mt accord 04, that thing hauls ass, if it were a roll or like a freeway race or somethin...its still a challange...its a nice car...pretty quick...as for the rsx...you would whoop a stock one, but ive seen rsx's with stage 2 turbos beat e46 m3's by a car length...

Since when is the e46 standard of (hot hot engines??)
guys that buy the e46 (M3) dont buy it to race .... it's a status car .. I am sure that you can put a stage 2 turbo on a pinto and beat the beloved M3 ... I am not saying that accord is bad ... they are nice cars indeed ... but not in the same class as G35. I guess I am getting too old for this but I "usually" dont race ... I just like when people turn their heads and look at my car ... that means more to me than a turbo charged engine.

my 2 cents

Some people are into racing. Some are into gettin looks.

I think the m3 is thrown around as the car to beat as it is (imo) the closest thing to a Skyline GTR stateside. Compact super sport luxo coupe. Sure there are others, but BMW is generally thought to be the top performing (stock) sport coupe.

If you want to race them, give them a run. Wont know until you race them.

Ru - dont discredit the RSX too much, remember this is a direct decendent of the Teg-R which is one of the best handling fwd cars ever... the rsx can easily bolt on considerable power by simply swapping bumpsticks, i/h/e, and a flash.

Oh, just in atlanta (buckhead), I know of quite a few people who race M3 Bimmers. I was passed by an M3 and an old 850 on the interestate runnin about 135? a month or so ago when I was going to the lake. I would guess 135 as I was cruisin at 90 or so and they passed me at a good click.

That wasn't my intent in my post. I love the RSX-S ... best hot hatch stateside IMO. Just saying that a stock G and RSX with equal ability drivers ... the G should take em pretty easily

Rice implies looks with no speed. I've toasted many cars in my G so this implies its not toooo slow []

Well what about the handling department? Can the G beat the new 05 rsx-s in handling? Form what i heard the new rsx-s got new suspensions that makes it even handle better and witht he extra 10 hp that the 05 has over the 04, With equal drivers would the rsx-s be able to beat the g35 on the twisties??

i would say the G would win with equal drivers. The RSX-S is prolly one of the best handling FWD cars but FWD has its limits and they come far sooner than a RWD platform. Not that the G is a perfect handling machine but I would think our closer to neutral balance and rwd should win
