Default Playing with bikes

So this isn't a kill story, but I did have some fun last night. I was heading out to a movie, and I was on a 6-lane non-highway road with a bunch of other cars. There was a motorcycle (I don't know what kind--it was a fast bike, not a tourer) a couple lanes over, and we both were moving forward through traffic. I got the impression he wanted to play, and I think he could tell I did, and lo 'n' behold, we got to a red light next to each other. I couldn't tell if he was looking at me (helmet), but he revved a bit when the opposing light turned yellow, so I took that as a yes. When the light turned green, we both went for it. I was pretty surprised, but I stayed right next to him through 1st. 2nd comes quickly, though and he shot forward while I was shifting (VDC was still on, and it remained that way). So (of course) he won. Then he hopped up on his back wheel and we took it up to about 80. After that first shift, he didn't gain on me any more, but I think he was probably letting me catch up. Still, it was pretty cool to hang with a bike in a 3400lb sedan!

Stru, how the hell do you launch hard without the VDC fuel cutoff kicking in? Of all the various system components of VDC, I have come to loath that damn fuel cutoff the most by far. Too sensitive, IMO!

I enjoy playing with the sport bikes myself, if I only had a sLotus.
