Fafa brought this up in another post, so I thought I would start a new thread.
It isn't necessarily racing, but it is definitely race oriented, so:
What is the top speed anyone has seen in their G. I know that there are things such as speedo error etc. but just wondering what everyone has seen.
Personally, I have seen the speedo read 156.
NOTE: Nobody should be flamed in this thread because it goes without saying that everyone probably did this on an open road where nobody but their stupid self (my stupid self included) could get hurt.
I think I hit 120 something in it once, any speed over 70 mph scares me.

I hit about 125 racing a Firebird with a V8. It was a dead heat, I couldn't pull on him and he couldn't pull on me. We cut it off out of a mutual "holy $h!t, we're going 125MPH!" moment, nodded to each other, waved and coasted back down to sane speeds.

Did your G have anything left at 156 or did you max it out?

I have try to max the car out a couple of times. You can run 5th gear all the way out to 140, from there 6th takes over and that is where it starts to accelerate more slowly. It still gets up there pretty quickly all in all. at 156-ish I still had some RPM's left to go, but I don't know how many miles of road it would have taken to get past that, if the car is even capable, that is.
a whopping 90 mph when i was dusting a annoying CAMRY (what the hell are these guys thinking?) and i shut down cuz i didnt want the revs to go too high (im still breaking it in). i'll give you an official reading in about a month, im gonna wait past the 1200 mile mark before i unwind it.
but i will say when i was in my 94 accord (modified) i ran a integra gsr modded on the 57 fwy at 2am and we got to 130 and i redded out in 5th. i can tell you this, hondas aint made to be driven that fast, the whole car was shaking like a mf and me and him were in a dead heat till we both shut down when we hit the 22 fwy.

143 MPH was the fastest I've driven it. Some cars ahead of us slowed us down but it was still climbing. I had my brother and girlfriend in the car with me. I raced a Camaro to 140 MPH from a roll of about 75. It was dead even before we shut it down.
