Well, the Z is my daily driver now that my G is gone and i don't get my E class until this weekend. My neighbor left for work the same time i did today in his BMW 650. As soon as we got to the highway he pulled up next to me, looks over and smiles and takes off. I catch up about a mile later as he slowed down. I line up next to him, put it in 3rd, and paced him as he floored it. I stayed neck and neck with him from 50mph to about 80mph, both of us looking over at each other laughing..then i mashed it..slipping the back end slightly and absolutely blowing him away. My neighbor is cool; 45 year old guy just messing around, he knew his car was no chance.
And finally...the first car to actually try and race me after nearly a year of ownership...an RS4. In Ohio Audi's are HUGE absolutely HUGE,..i have seen at least 10 RS4's around town. The AWD thing is big up here with the subpar weather and all. I was on my "strip" and the way home from work and i see a black Audi with a low front end in my rear view. This road is the one i normally give it a go on...flat, straight, guard rails on both sides so no room for cops. I let the Audi get ahead so i can see what it is, and sure enough its an RS4..the badging and bg 19's and all. Great looking 4 door ride!!! We go 50mph for about 2 miles with no "nonsense" from either of us. He finally gets line up next to me and i hear him downshift and he rolls his window down. I pull up next to him and he smiles and says," you'll kill me, but do you want to give it a run." I said fine and for him to go first. I get into 1st (Z's will go up to 60mph in 1st), he takes off. Half a second later i am passing him and putting bus lengths on him. We catch up to one another at the next stop light a few miles down the road....he looks over at me and says " i spent 70k on the wrong car." I laughed. What do you expect when you race a car that traps at 104mph vs one that traps at 130mph. Good times.
On the second note, have you read my post in general section about the stock Z06 1/4 mile times? That is just crazy, i cannot believe those cars are that fast.

505hp in a 3000lbs car....w/ slicks guys get them into the low 11's. I would never buy a car this fast again...it is seriously to the limits of traction...i mean i seriously can be going 80 and make the tires spin when i floor it. I wouldn't even recommend a car this fast. Honestly, this is tough for me to say but 1. the cars scares me...and 2. under anything more than 75% throttle, i can't handle the car....not sure if many people can.
Hahaaa an honest man right there ^^^ I don't think I can handle it myself, especially coming from a G35 with a few N/a mods. This thing would scare the shit out of me. It's a very nice looking car which is even scarier, lol. I always said I wouldn't own a Domestic, but now I say except for the C6 Z06 of course . People still hate on it, but I don't care I'm a car enthusiast so I'm all for this car because I can understand the true raw power it has...unbelievable

I know what you mean about a lot of motor, up north that must be crazy. When the temps dropped here to near freezing my Z was hard to drive until the tires warmed up some.

You think you got it bad.... your rwd.... My friend who is sponsored by buscher racing.... recently traded his Evo 8 mr for the buscher evo. He has 11 inch slicks on all 4 and he slides back and forth the whole way down the 1/4 mile strip. It gets pretty crazy when you get up to the limits of traction in a car and your going 80+ mashing the throttle.

What traction setting do you stick the Z06 in, when you fuss around with it? I read even the professional drivers prefer to run it with some traction control.
