Uh... i like the shopping cart that was designed on TLC or whatever I was watching with the team that worked on it in a think tank. Much better design imo.
Was modular and such, more radically designed as opposed to a tradional design.
Eat your hearts out, all of you! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!
I'm still in a good mood because Nissan bent over for Lotus -- Yeah, bending over...something some of you already know a lot about. As I said, how about that? And does anyone here think that Nissan would really want its relationship with Lotus publicized? Maybe yes, maybe no. NO! The fact is, boys and girls (the latter one is you, Iron)...(snerk)........yeah, Iron...(mmphff)...Iron??...IronRice??? (stop it, you're killing me!)..........
Whoa there Brit ... you're losing that intelligent feeling all your previous posts have given off. I'll let this one post go but next post I better feel the need to check a dictionary to fully understand your post
Heh. I doubt nissan cares if the public knows nissan went out of house to design their new supercar. Companies regularly go out of house to breath new life into a product line. Reference... just about any car company today.
Should be interesting to see how this new G fares... the skyline has traditionally been an overweight car, whereas the lotus family is traditionally more light weight.
Father, forgive him, for he knows not what he says. (Father, come to think of it, that would apply to just about everyone else on this board for that matter.)
With all that, S0l, you still don't get it. For the umpteenth time, Lotus is a chassis designer. A world-renowned chassis designer. No one does it better. No one. Not even Ferrari. Certainly not that moribund company, Porsche. Lotus is the last word in handling. The last word. By comparison, engineers at Porsche suffer from lockjaw. At any speed, Lotus chassis designs are superior. And Lotus cars don't need the massive tires that Porsche uses to keep their crap on the road. We all know what a steamroller looks like. If Porsche could persuade Michelin or Goodyear to make tires like that, you'd see the world's first two-tire car. Gad, are Porsches awful. Ever see a car made by any company in the world that wears a badge that reads, Handling by Porsche? LOL! Do you think a company in the market for chassis design assistance has a death wish? Who'd want those clowns to design a chassis? Not Nissan, my friend.
S0l, go drive an Elise and then come back here and tell us that Lotus is not the be all and end all of sport cars. And a four-cylinder car at that that'll blow away a Ferrari Modena at five times the price. You don't know what you're talking about.
I was going to quote the same thing, brit. I saw that yesterday in one of my roomies rags.
I never said I didnt like lotus, I said I think theyre not the end all be all of cars you make them out to be. I think they can make cars that handle, but as far as power goes, I can understand why nissan chose another firm to design the engine.
I do stick with Ferrari is currently higher in the racing world, wether is be based on a god like driver, or the car itself.

Lotus consulting has been in business for years. Why is that, GZire? Why do you think client after client has repeatedly hired this company? Answer: when better suspensions are built, Lotus will build them. And continue to make money off companies like Nissan that can't.
You don't get it, either. Nissan is buying Lotus' F1 experience. Nissan can't or won't compete at that level, so they purchase the experience of others who (successfully) have to compensate for the fact that they just don't have the talent in-house to reach a higher plane. A pretty 2-door car with a big engine does not a great sport car make. So it is with the G35.
How about that? I mean, how about that. Nissan goes to the Brits to purchase suspension expertise from Lotus and engine development expertise from Cosworth.

You want to know something funny Brit? The Soviets went to England after WWII and came back with a Rolls jet engine. Based upon that help, the MiG's were the scourge of the Western world for the next 40 years.
Who knows, maybe Lotus is helping to make a car that will end up killing Lotus off.
