how do you guys launch the G?

hey guys, this might be a redundant post, but how do you guys launch?

i tried to launch my G one night with the vdc on (around 2k rpm) and it totatlly bogged down my car. do you have to turn off the vdc?

do you guys just dump the clutch after you rev it to about 3k rpm with the clutch fully depressed? or is there a custom technique you guys use to get a boost on launching compare to a car with automatic tranny? any replies would be appreciated.

Your VDC was on . . . that's what your problem was. You can't launch with it on cuz as soon as it feels your tires spinning, it automatically cuts your power back. That's why you bogged down. Next time turn the VDC off and you will launch just fine.

ur clutch is gonn burn up, dont do too many, n dunno if u care bout ur tires. I save that for racing. I still gotta put up my GTO race....!

First: search topic has been covered many times.

Second: short answer - Turn VDC off.

Third: some people rev to 3,000 RPMS, I rev to 2,000 RPMS. Release clutch and give it gas, if it starts to bounce, feather the gas. The feathering technique is consistent.

Fourth: practice, practice, practice. You will smell a burning smell more than once when you do, but if you want to learn how to launch, it's unavoidable. Don't worry, your clutch will still work.
