Default 996 on the Ring

It's not the greatest quality video, but it's still pretty cool to get an in-cockpit view of running the Ring in a 996.

Holy Scheisse, my heart is pounding! These 72 corners around the castle ruins are real road-racing baby, the way it was meant to be, 2nd only to the Mountain Course on the Isle of Man. Not like one of those wide safety-zone, toy-boy circuits that F1 uses these days. IMO, the Viper's choppy speed and erratic line at the beginning caused the 1st corner bump. Hell, he ran him off the track!

for those of you with a regular xbox, go pick up forza motorsports. i'm sure you can get it for about $20 now. you will have TONS of fun with it. it's crazy how accurate the exhausts sounds on the game are. i've got the wheel setup, and when i get antsy and want to drive my g late at night, i just get on that and drive the ring. check it out.

Wheel to wheel racing is kinda nuts. Funny thing is the guy in the Viper that got hit probably doesn't give a crap.

I'm kinda surprised that they let the GT3 guy drive with that big ass crack in his windshield though.

Yea I can imagine. Even though I don't know ANYTHING about those type of races, it must be kinda crazy out there.

I didn't even notice that crack.

Hans driving the M3 GTR? That one's my favorite so far. It still scares me at the end of some long (not so straight) straights. Wouldn't mind seeing that again. But this GT3 run is fun too. The driver could be a little better. But you can certainly see the extra power in the final straight and the superior braking of the car compared, to say, the Viper. Nice find.
