so i was coming back home tonight. i was waiting at a light, waiting to cross over into the community i live in. i see that an IS300 pulls up next to me. as i was inspecting the car, i thought that it was modded due to it's unusual appearance. as the light turns green, i was a bit heavy on the gas, but not anywhere near to flooring the car. as soon as the IS sees that i jumped a bit at the light, he took off! i then slammed on the accelerator to catch up... it had pulled on me quite a bit, but i caught up since there was a stop sign just a bit further. the stop sign is only to turn left or right, it so happens, we both turned left. the guy turns first, and waits for me (but he was still rolling)... i was in 4th gear, and i flashed my light beams at the guy, and then i heard the loud growl of his exhaust... i immediately downshifted to 3rd gear, and was gaining on the IS300. i was RIGHT ON it's ass, by mid 4th gear, but i couldnt pass it (for a truck was on the lane next to us). i had to lay off the gas a bit, until we both passed the truck, and then i slammed on the accelerator again.
this street is a winding road, sharply turning to the right, i was hitting near 100 MPH when i decided i was risking a flip. so i put my hazards on. we ended the race, and the guy slowly passed me. i was going to give him the thumbs up, but he decided to just fly by me. it so happens that we had both passed our exists, so we both made a U-Turn at the same spot. the guy immediately jumped on the accelerator again, and i gave him a sec or 2, and took off as well again, down the same road, i was pulling hard on the IS. i put on the hazards again, and slowed down to my stop. it turns out that the guy's exit was on the opposite side of my exit, which basically made us neighbors
i thought this IS was going to hand my ass to me... i love my car!
The G will rape IS250s and IS300s like they're nothing, when everything's stock, and when both have turbos. I've driven an IS300 that had a turbo and I drove a turboed 350Z yesterday. The IS would get utterly ass-rammed.
