I was driving on beltway 8 between hwy 290 and I-10 at about 70 mphs. Very light traffic. A new white Acura TL pulls over two lanes just to get on my tail. I pull over one lane and he pulls up and paces me. I was like ok, I get what you want. I looked over but his windows were tinted dark and couldnt see him. I pull up to 80 and he paced again. I slowed it down to 70, thats where i pull best in 3rd gear. He slowed, i nodded and he went. I pulled half a car at 90 then went to 4th at 95 and was 1 car ahead at 100 and was starting to pull hard on him. then slowed down. He slowed down and we gave each other a thumbs up and rolled side by side to I-10 at 80mph. His car ran better than i thought it would. But i did give him the move. OH the injen cai and borla exhaust must have sounded good to him when i was going by. He said that G sounds good man. sedan owners must get the borla.
If he can catch you in a high rev situation the TL isn't going to be all that far behind a G at all. However if you can catch him at low speeds or rpms that's where his engine is going to struggle until he can get his revs up.

hey gzire. I work at a ford dealership here in Houston. A buddy here owns a black 03 TL. I have tried to get him to run our cars. He always a reason why he cant. But swears that his car is faster off the line. He says I can take him up high but not down low. He always leaves either before me or has "work" to do and has to leave after me. Im sure he is ducking me. I have had a little doubt, since he always talks about how quick his car is. I do have a couple of mods so i feel better about it. The black TL is a goodlooking car though.
FF is a front engine front wheel drive platform.
FR is a front engine rear wheel drive platform.
One of the big drawbacks to the FF is that when you give it the go-go juice it crouches and transfers weight off of its drive wheels hurting acceleration due to reduced traction. The FR is the opposite as the weight shift puts more weight onto the drive wheels allowing for increased traction at the drive wheels. All other things being equal this is a decided advantage to the G.

you will totally eat him up! the cl-s' are quiker than the tl-s' by like 3 tenths or so, and a G will smoke the cl..so no question
He told me he cant beat me this morning. He was outside when I went by the dealership racing the other g35 we took in trade last night. He said that he doesnt think he can take me and doesnt want to run them
