Okay, so I am sitting at this light with my wife on the way to dinner. There is a older man to my left in a BMW Z3. The light turns green and I take off like I normally do, floor and hold it down until I am up to 5 over speed limit. So much for saving gas. All of a sudden the guy in his BMW floors it, we are neck and neck but he is gaining on me. I held the throttle down and now I am speeding, doing about 60 in a 45 and climbing. My wifes asks me are we racing that guy, I said he thinks he is racing me and laugh. I come off the throttle at about 70 and he is a car lenght in front of me.
I guess I need to mod my ride. But at least he can brag to his buddies he raced some guy and won. "What was the guy driving?" his friends ask. "Oh, it was a full size Chevy Crew Cab pickup pulling a 26' speed boat."
You should have run him over off the like and squished the competition.
Or you could tell him to wait there for you for another race while you run home real quick....
Then go get the Vette and cook up a batch of Z3 Soup.

That's funny, I just raced a Chevy Crew Cab the other day in my z3. I didn't think he'd race me. But the light turned green and he just peeled out, both rear tires smoking a long way. I thought it was just the boat that was holding the truck back, allowing the torque converter to slip and provide more torque to the rears... Until he was in front enough and I saw the after burner under the 26' speed boat glowing. I was like, I gotta race this thing. So I floored it and started gaining on him. As I pull up even, I saw his wife frowning upon the whole activity, so we both shut down. By then, I was a car length ahead. Phew, Good thing I didn't lose to a truck pulling a boat.
:P Alright, I never had a Z3.
