Running around 50 MPH on the feeder road and I saw this bimmer come up on my a$$ end very quickly; he kept riding my bumper instead of going around. Let my foot off the accelerator waiting for him to make the first move to go around me. Saw him swing out swiftly into the right lane, gave the "G" around ½ throttle to see if he waited to play. When he made the attempt to accelerate pass me it was time to apply the HOT FOOT maneuver, and it was good-bye with a steady pulling away from the BMW. I looked at my speed and I was already up to 95 MPH, so I let off the gas and just coasted to the next intersection, which was my turn back to the house.

A dude in my office who is a manager for a different department just got one of the new 330i's. It might just be me but I really don't like the way that they look too much. Anyways, I keep hitting him up to race but he won't go for it. I think that he knows that I will take him!
I was glancing at a car magazine this weekend and saw a comparison of the new IS350 vs. the new 330i. I'm pretty sure that it said the BMW ran a quarter mile of 14.7 and the IS was "0.7 seconds faster". I was pretty surprised by the BMW time. Can anyone confirm this? I thought they were faster than our G's (at least pre 05)....
the last generation 3 series couldn't keep up with the G (not including the M3) unless it was the 330 with the performance package ... then it was a bit more drivers race in lower speeds ... dunno bout 3 digit speeds

i was talking bout the zhp package available on the last gen 330 ... it was only like another 25 hp but the 6mt that replaced the 5mt was what made it a good contender ... the gearing was good enough to give the G a pretty tight race ... if ya search through the older race threads we have a few members that went against em and they were pretty close races

i'm thinkin these G drivers weren't driving the G to its full potential, thats the only reason.
