Default civic

it was a rainy day today. i was trying to hurry up home from school this afternoon. i was turning left and outta no where some civic started passing me, i got offended so i took off as i came up to a stop sign along the road, the civic caught up. he reved at me, therefore i know it was stick. i was in manu mode, but i wasnt aware what gear i was on. the civic took off, and i punched it really hard. remember.. the roads were wet... so i peeled out all of 1st first, and most of second. so i was even w/ the civic wtf! i actually got scared for a sec. by third gear, i pulled a good 2 cars on him. and then going 80 MPH, i was ahead by around 3.5 and 4 cars. i decided to let off because the roads were pretty bad and i didnt want to go too high in speeds. i put on my hazards ... it turns out we live pretty close to each other, but he stayed WAAAYYYYYY back of me i tried to let him catch up, so i could give him a nod. but he must've been going 5 mph

so i won, but not that much, should there be any reason for concern? what you guys think

Being the former owner of 2 modded Honda Civic Si's, you shouldn't be too concerned. First of all, being RWD and the roads being wet are not a good combination. The fact that you were slipping and sliding and still pulled on him shows you that if it hadn't been raining and you were able to get traction, you probably would have smoked him. Unless this guy was pretty heavily modded, a Civic can't hang with a G. I had my Civic running mid 13's so you wouldn't have wanted to run into me smoke!

Well back then I didn't have the bills that I do now-a-days so practically every penny went into my car. Let's just say that I had a lot of money put into that engine! I smoked a GSX at Battle of the Imports once!

That's very true smoke. My Civic was such a sleeper. I used to embarass Mustangs, Eclipses, old school RX-7's, Integra's, other Civics, you name it and I raced it. The only 2 cars that ever ripped me a new one was a ZR-1 Corvette and a TT RX-7. I had so much fun in that car!

i don't even bother anytime there's water on the ground..
watch out for Civic's nowadays..many are way beyond your basic bolton modds these days!
shit, a simple swap of a rsx motor into a Civic hatch with no f/i nor internal motor changes puts them in the 12's!!!
