Default NEW Plug 'n Play, Tuneable, 10 Map ECU!!!

[jump2] Woohoo, here's some VERY interesting breaking news!
And, I quote directly from an email to me...

"I have also been working on the piggyback computer setup for the 350z, g35, and fx35 it will be a true plug and play system requiring about 20 minutes to install and has about 10 maps available for various aftermarket modifications combinations.

Pricing will be less than $1000 and while I don’t have dyno charts right now to share with you we have seen gains of 35hp in some rpm ranges and about 20hp peak to peak. The system is also tunable to your specific vehicle to get the absolute most out of your specific combinations.

The system is built by UNICHIP and is very similar to the one APS provides with their twin turbo kit. I want to get an idea of interest on this unit, can you let me know if a group buy is in order. It should be available in about 1 month and your sources can see them at SEMA.

Talk to you soon,
xxxxx"

would this be helpful in tuning for several boost levels in a turbo kit?

Crap. I was there yesterday DHolly, but I didn't see this post until just now. I wonder what time the show closes.

would this chip work on a stock G, or does it need to be modded like filter,exhaust,headers,etc...for it to work at optimum capacity?

Can't answer that, perhaps one map is for stock - no mods? Once you pay for the TechnoSquare reflash and shipping both ways plus, if you add more mods later, the cost of a additional reflashes and shipping, etc., this UniChip ECU solution sounds like a better bargain and allows more flexibility with your mods. I'll see if I can get an update and more info - any other questions you want me to pose?

Dholly do you happen to know what other cars have these guys put out their product for? It'd be pretty interesting to cruise the other forums and see what this has done for their vehicles.

I'd like to know what the install involves. I know that it says plug and play, but plug into what? Is it going to piggyback the ECU?
