Cast in light weight alloy and then NC precision machined, the APS plenum pumps-up the internal plenum volume and delivers the optimum distribution of air to each inlet trumpet. With dead true NC machined mating faces, the APS Tall-Boy is a direct bolt-on replacement of the stock plenum and utilizes the stock gasket. All ancillary hardware for easy installation (in under an hour) is included. The APS plenum will be released, if all goes to plan, towards the end of November and will be on display at the SEMA show in Las Vegas. Best estimate on the MSRP is approx $375 and NO oem plenum deposit or swap required. Availability mid September 04. http://www.aps-350z.com/350z/plenum/plenum.htm

Well, if indeed they can chrome that alloy, I'll bet it will be available at some point soon. What intrigues me about this particular plenum design vs. the Crawford and Kinetix is that it must be used on 350z's with an aftermarket strut brace. That is, both the others sacrifice some (obviously no where near as much as oem) front 2 cylinder air flow because they still are sloped to fit under the stock 350z strut bar. This one is not. Whether that means better dyno #'s I guess we'll see soon enough, but I for one an glad they did this as I always felt a bit irked having to "conform" my G35 around the 350z specs at the potential for less than possible max flow characteristics.

Semi - and because it's cast (rather than a hack and weld job), no rough weld seams inside to polish and, IMO, much better (read: professional) looking on the outside as well. The chopped look of the Crawford always bothered me some with it's rough appearence, but this APS looks so...smooth and perfect, like a stock part should. I really wanna see dyno #'s!

so technically the whole problem with making a plenum that is perfect size with no weird slopes is the oem hood. (im not sure, im not a mechanic)but there is an esprit power intake kit which lifts the plenum and distributes air better. so what if the hood was a little higher, and u combined a plenum and the power intake, would that be better for the air distribution.
