Default The answer to the best intake mod??

After much review and research, I'm going with the Stillen High Flow Box AND the 350Z Intake Pipe...No water issue with CAB (I'm told)like CAI and the Z pipe WITH the Stillen box is the sweet spot in terms of sound and kick...[hammer]

DonP..Where in Chicago are you?? I found a shop 4 miles from me called ULTIMATE Z who does nothing but Z and G35's...Check it out Pal...

Here's what I had done today, after going to Z Specialty Shop:

Replaced G35 intake with 350Z intake tube...Used tube cost me $20!!!
Installed JWT Z Pop Charger on end of Z tube..P/C ran me $99!!

I like the P/C because it sits right below where the stock air box sat, not DOWN in the lower grille to take water...I know not as much CA, but it looks GREAT under the hood and sounds much more throaty when you get on it!!!!

This ran a total of $120 vs. $250-$350 for Injen/Stillen CAI or CAB...
I gotta tell you it sounds AWESOME!!![bigmouth]

Thanks for asking. I just got back from the hospital and am about to go back again. He is doing better than they expected, but the doctor said that he isn't out of the woods yet. The brain hemorrhaging has stopped so that is good. He is paralyzed down the right side of his body though and they are not sure of the extent of the brain damage caused. They also said that the reason that he might still be around is because he might be putting in that last effort to live. I just hope for my half-sister's sake that he really does pull through it. It is hard for me to think anything about the situation, I mean he is still in a very critical situation, but when I walk in there and he squeezes my hand so hard that it causes my knuckles to crack, he just gives me hope. I just pray that it isn't false hope.

hey guys.....
want to buy the 350z intake for the coupe, but I have a question, near the throttle body on the original G35 intake tube there is a rubber hose that attaches to the intake tube....this is not the MAF as the MAF is near the front of the car and is electronical....Im assuming this is a vacum hose and monitors air presure. On the 350Z intake tube, is there a location to plug that tube in. From the pics, it seems as if the 350Z tube is totally straight. Anyone know what I'm referring to, advice? Thanks?

Hey 35gcees,
The plug for that hose is on the underside of the Z tube. Don't worry, everything connects fine.

Stupid question. What is a Z tube. Are you referring to the stock intake tube from a 350Z or is this the name for some aftermarket intake?
How about the Nismo intake for the 350Z? Will this fit or is the shape different b/c of the different front ends of the two cars. I tried researching previous posts and saw no mention of that intake.
