Default Types of exhaust systems

I've been browsing through many exhaust systems and see 3 types.
1. Stock mimicing dual exhausts
2. Dual exhuasts that don't come together at the muffler and instead just shoot straight out like typical exhausts
3. single exhausts.

It seems that as you go down the line the system gets less restrictive and "better" performance wise. There are also fewer extreme bends which i think is better. I really don't like the single exhaust idea but this link is convincing (http://www.splparts.com/About/SeanZ33/default.htm). What do you guys think?

He wants to:
(a) be different than the G next to him
(b) have a different sound
(c) "hopefully" have some hp gains
(d) non of the above

*HINT*
there could be more than one answer to the above question

look man, either you go straight pipes, or you stay stock.

why? cuz any other exhaust is not going to give you any power gains. not on the coupes. the sound will begin to resemble the lawn mower down the block aka honda civic.

I beg to differ on this one. All though the stock exhaust sounds great stock or when you add high flow cats and a y pipe. I think that the Fujitsubo Legalis R adds a nicer tone to the exhaust with y-pipe and cats + maybe headers. I have read you gain a little HP from this exhaust too. Mostly the aftermarket exhausts are for sound on the G. Overall the G35 is hard to squeeze HP out of with just an aftermarket exhaust.
