'91 GTR stolen and recovered within 24 hrs thanks to forum members.

Summary:
Car dealer in Calgary AB had given the keys for a 91 skyline gtr to a kid for a testdrive and the kid never came back.
dealer posted on forum that 91 skyline gtr was stolen along with pics
forum mod spots the car coming out of the mall and takes a pic to post online
forum members see pics, scout the neighborhood and subsequent sightings led people to theifs house
neighborhood members google map the address, take pics of car in driveway, facebook him and PM all the info to original owner
call the cops, dude gets arrested, all is right in the world again.

What kind of stupid and idiotic dealership just throws anyone the keys to a car and lets them take it out alone (unless you've already done a lot and some expensive deals with that same person)?

since i look like im 12, the sales guys usually ride w/ me on a test drive. although i will say, every car i have bought recently has been from a dealer that gives me the keys and says bring it back whenever.
