Hmmm, but because Millen is so involved with Nissan and the GT-R, there have been credibility critisisms levied against this test. I.e, Millen sandbagged on the Z06 and 911TT in order to make the GT-R look better thus helping his own company. I think the GT-R is faster than either, but that amount of time does seem a bit extraordinary....
I'm sure Porsche and GM have taken due notice of those results and will provoke or instigate other testing if they believe the results are skewed.

Reason: wierdness w/website...I didn't send that 1st message?
hahahahaha. Trust me when I say that Steve did not sand bag anything. He has been well known for testing vehicles with Road and Track and in one test a couple of years ago he ranked a Corvette 1st and a 350Z 8th out of an 8 car shoot-out.
And just a few months ago he said that the Porsche GT3 RS was one of the most fun sports cars he's ever driven.
We also talked with some of the Porsche race teams and they said that the GT-R was lapping within a second or two of their RACE CARS! And that the lap times posted for the production Porsche sounded like good times for a production Porsche. These were Porsche racers confirming the results.

We caught a lot of flack for the article too haha.
Alot of it depends on the track. The GT-R test was performed on a track that was more suited for a car built with handling in mind. Who knows what would have happened if the test was performed at Willow on the big track. I'll bet that the Corvette would have been pretty close if not faster.
Handling wise the GT-R is one of the best car's available. And by far the best car available in its price range.
according to C&D, its putting out a lot more power than nissan claims. it has to be to get those kind of numbers on a 3900 lbs car. its putting out closer to 480hp at the wheels....so over 500hp at the crank.

I'm not saying that I think Steve sandbagged, but that is the buzz that's going around. It will be interesting to see some more comparisons down the line. My guess is that the GT-R will be consistently faster than both the Z06 and 911....
