i kno this is kinda off, but my friend says that on the older g35's and 350z's that although VDC is off it has a secondary VDC that kicks in if your sliding to much, they were trying to do donuts in a wet parking lot and it kept on kicking in even after it was off, anyone know anything about this?
yea it goes on if it detects too much slip or angle to make u not crash, also bogs down the motor a lot and makes the car go slow after u do a burnout.
but its not a secondary VDC, same one, just goes back on
you guys were talking about a secondary vdc when you do doughnuts....well, my car flashes the slip light at me when the vdc is off and im sliding. i did a very high spped drift and had this happen to me: (see attatched)
and i couldnt turn on the vdc after that. had to restart the car.
also, the last rain we had here i went out and was doing some 5at 3rd gear burnouts and the car wouldnt shift out of 3rd in mm and then wouldnt shift at all above 3rd. same thing, had to restart, but 3 times before everything went back to normal.
in the pic the vdc, slip, and ras (rear active steer) lights are on.
