It appears that Toyota has been buying Subaru shares. It started with Toyota using the extra space in Subaru's production plants, and since then, Toyota has claimed more of Subaru and the two have been exchanging engineers to trade tech and make better progress.

I think GM owns part of Fuji Heavy Industries, Subaru's parent company, so basically yes.
