Maybe they found a home for the new Silvia? Badge it Infiniti.
Not likely...
A new Silvia would really hit the spot. I hope they consider it, but then again, if its gonna compete with the 1-Series (which uses the same motors as the 3-series), then i doubt that a four banger turbo can keep up =[

I hope Nissan doesn't just fancy up the Sentra again like it did with the G20. Maybe a car on the Altima platform would work, but I would think it would need to be RWD.

I was just thinking and... it would be nice to have some good competition in more segments of sports cars. But... and it's a big but, Nissan/Infiniti/or anyone else will have a difficult time of competing with the 1 series, espeically the 135i. I mean look at the specs. the 135i will do 60 in 4.8 or less and run the 1/4 in 13's? (Not sure of the exact specs, someone else chime in if you have it).
Other than the GT-R, Nissan doesn't really have anything in their lineup that can really run with those numbers so how would they take down the 135i? It'd be good to see what they bring to the battle though.

Infiniti is definitely lagging the competitors by not have that "next step up" alternative. Hopefully they'll notice the gap.
BMW => M's
Mercedes => AMG's
Lexus => F
Audi => S / RS
Infiniti => ??????????????
sorry but the lexus does not belong in the group. i get what you're saying, but lex has a ways to go as well.
certainly, they are the latest to show up at the table(or attempt to; and could certainly use improvement), but that's the whole point, they're at least trying....Infiniti hasn't even looked for an empty seat yet. WTF ???
i dont know if it's the right time yet... i mean really, infiniti just recently got a decent line up. give it a little time... but i still think the GTR should have been an infiniti. that would have been a good start.

i dont think that will matter much in the end. people into cars, that can afford it, know what this car is all about and it probably wont sway them from getting one b/c it has a nissan badge.

The new 07+ 350Z's run around 13.4-.6 at 104-106 mph. Saw them with my own eyes. Had no idea those HR motors really put down the heat. Guess i should have known that considering the G35 sedans that have the HR motors get into the 13's.

the 350z is much too large to compete (market-wise) with the 1 series. it's only a foot shorter than the G and the same width. plus the 1 series has a back seat.
