Well I would rather upgrade a whole lot more w/in the BMW family w/ the E46 M3, but that's further in the future!
I guess the G would maybe do until then[]

Why mess with a G??? You can get a used clean E46 M3 less expensive than a new G35c.

You'll just have a car that looks like the rest of it's 3-series family.

I'll see you on the track...

That's only partly true. A new G35c loaded is in the low 30's. A well kept CPO M3 is in the high 30's/low 40's. I guess it depends on how much you shop around. I just came from an E46 M3 into the G35c, and owned an 02' 330ci prior to that. I will go back to BMW in a few years, but at the current time I had to leave my precious M3 behind due to the warranty nearing it's end, and my mileage too high for the amount of time I had it (34k+ in less than 2 years. DAMN DRIVE TO IRVINE EVERYDAY!!!!!!! ). Had it not been for the warranty issue (and blown motor due to an ECU foul-up), I'd have kept my M3 for the 3 remaining years of my lease. Ah well.

Viva la BMW =)
