Default Jaguar??

I was just wonderin if any of you guys know of a good Jaguar forum or Jaguar sites that sell parts

I just recently aquired a Jaguar XJS....if you don't know its a V12 POWERHOUSE

Only problem is that its not as nice as it can be...

My G can only aspire to be as great as this British marvel (I really thought I would never say that phrase [banghead])

Any forums or anything you guys heard of?

Sorry Legacy, but I don't cruise any Jaguar sites.

What year is the Jag?

Its a 1987 Jag XJS...

It may be a little old, but belive me it is VERY VERY fast

A bit heavy, which causes a little slow start...

But once it gets going it eats up every car out there

I do believe it has been suped up extensivly.... not sure of specific mods, but it does have a British racing certificate, also the previous owner had also said he put in some major upgrades into it, I'll post pics when I can

Yeeeek.....what's the gas mileage on that cat?

I would enjoy some pics of the car's exterior, interior, and the under-hood goodies. I liked the body style of those years (I'm old enough to remember it....as a person who could not afford one), distinctive in a time of rather bland automotive styling (unless you go the ungodly supercar realm).

I will definatly post some pictures once I get the whole thing cleaned...

As far as milage goes...heh....lets just say its not something you'd want to drive around everyday (maybe 10 mpg? possibly 13 havn't really calculated yet)

But you are right on the fact that it was, and still is, pretty unique

Here are some shots of what it basically looks like (different exteriror and interior color though)

Heres a pic of the engine that came with these babies...[bowdown]

wow ... i've not been a fan of Jag since ford took over but some of the older ones still catch my eye. The thing looks incredibly well kept

yea, in those pics the owners really did keep them in prestine condition

unfortunatly the one I have is a bit...rugged.

Apperantly the previous owner used it alot on the track so its got alot of exterior wear, I'm hoping to really restore it though to its original glory

The problem with older Jags is the electrical system. Good luck..

Ford did improve the reliability of Jaguar (scary thought), but otherwise screwed them up.

Exactly!! The main issue which I want to adress is the fact there's an electrical leak somewhere in the car which is killing the battery way to easily, so I'm hoping to get in touch with ppl to get some OEM parts for that...

You might want to ditch the OEM wiring and go it your own way (don't want to recreate the OEM problem).

I know what you mean on the gas mileage. When I had my Camaro I jumped the gas to get on the freeway. I saw my fuel gauge move and thought it was because the fuel had shifted in the tank. I was wrong.[banghead]

Massive torque, but it get's a little old with 11 mpg.

Good luck on the Jag Legacy.
