I fell in love with the Elise the first time I saw it. I wish I had an extra $40K for a weekend car. Don't know where my 3-year old son would sit though.
Serious question to Brit:
Will Lotus bring the Motor Sport Elise to the US anytime soon? I believe that is the model with the CAI/Ram Air scoop at the rear of the roof. I saw one run at Phoenix Int Raceway during HPDE and it sounded great especially bouncing off the rev limiter. [boink]
That is the Lotus Exige, they are planning a 2005 model Exige to be produced, but don't expect to see many in the US. The last time they made the Exige was in 2000.
It's a great car for track junkies, but others may tire of it quickly. A supreme choice for doing "more with less" and a car I'd love to own if it cost about $15k less. No way in hell I'd pay $40k for a car like that...perhaps a used one in a few years for $22k.
