if they do re-release it, it won't be in the US. there is no room in nissan's line up for another coupe.
... especially not with the new altima coupe that was just released. And why does that article say that the 350Z isn't affordable? The average price a new car today is at or just above $30K. A base 350Z will go for about 3-4K less than that, out the door I have been told. 750 is right- no room for nissan for another coupe.

ha, yeah when i read that 'a 350z is out of reach to the average driver' i was like... huh?!?

why isnt there? a RWD turbo charged 4cyl coupe would be prefect.
it would have been different if the G35 was still in production but its not.
that would be the only way there is no room. but that would be a smash for Nissan
you have alot of people buying fwd cars for 17 plus going to Nissan for a RWD turbo.
the Altima is overpriced big time and the Z shoudl be a little cheaper. the Silvia would far right inbetween. the Altima should only be around 20-22k. the Silvia should be around 27k

first of all, "should be" and "is" are two different things. the altima averages in the high 20's to low 30's for a decent one. the v6 model performs OK and accelerates almost as quickly as the Z. if the average consumer could choose between a v6 FWD and a 4 cyl turbo RWD for the same price, they would choose the v6. and that's what it will come down to. those 2 cars are way too similar in size, style, and as you quoted above, price. it won't happen, trust me.
if Nissan does introduce a new coupe to their lineup -which is unlikely any time soon - it will be a small efficient coupe... something the size of the old 200SX (2 dr. sentra)

no i agree. Nissan should have ever made the altima a V6. it shouldnt have been any more than 200hp which means they just shouldnt have made it v6. haha
it should have stayed as in I4. so you are right. unless they change the motors in their line up. the Silvia would not be in the US market
A new Silvia would be great! Nice economy price, plentiful parts and decades of heritage.
But you guys are right, unfortunately theres no room in the Nissan line up. It would be really nice though, considering the S15 never made it to the States.

They could bring it here and sell it as an entry level Infiniti. Remember the G20? With the G35/37 steadily increasing in price, an affordable RWD sports car could be just what the doctor ordered for Infiniti.
